Traditionally, the preliminations were organized in „Akant” club. Rawa Blues also appeared in other clubs, as well as, in the large Silesian venues. The final gala at Teatr Mały in Tychy was recorded by the most popular among young people Radio Programme 3. 

The stars of that edition were: Dudek Blues Session, Dżem, Leszek Winder Super Session, Easy Rider, Jan Janowski, Nocna Zmiana Bluesa, Paweł Ostafil, Jan „Kyks” Skrzek, Józef Skrzek, All Stars Blues Band (Skrzek, Jan Błędowski, Andrzej Urny, Krzysztof Głuch, Jerzy Kawalec and Michał Giercuszkiewicz) and Jerzy Dębina in duo with Irek Dudek. 

We also met some new faces, who later signed their names in Polish blues society: The Cooks, Ostatnie Takie Trio, Red Rooster, Bluestemper. One of the attractions was „The Blues Picnic” held in „Almatur” centre of horse riding in Zbrosławice.

The possibility of inviting European and American blues stars – which was the biggest dream of Irek Dudek – was still extremely distant due to political and economical reasons...
