Chronicles

It was the last time, when „Akant” was the place of casting for „Rawa Blues” and also the last time when Jerzy „Kosa” Kosiński hosted the festival together with Jan Chojnacki.

Green Grass and Electric Blues Band made their debiuts on the Off Stage. Twenty two artists appeared on The Main Stage, their shows lasted from a few to several minutes. That blues marathon was opened by Tortilla Flat. Later played: Jan „Kyks” Skrzek, Bogdan Mizerski, Nocna Zmiana Bluesa, Gang Olsena supported with Sławek Wierzcholski. This time DDD band performed as the quartet of Silesian musicians: Roman „Pazur” Wojciechowski, Robert Gola, Krzysztof Głuch and Jerzy Kawalec.

Spectators could also listened to: Blues Power, Martyna Jakubowicz, Irek Dudek (this time solo with the acoustic guitar), Dżem and Tadeusz Nalepa, who played the longest concerts.

Rawa Blues is like a mirror, reflecting the condition of Polish blues. It confirmed two things: it's not that bad, cause it's so – so. And the second one: the future of Polish blues and the future of the festival itself doesn't look optimistic – prophesied one of the press journalists.
