The performances of several dozen applicants, including bands from the United States, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Belarus and Sweden showing off very high quality and were a hard nut to crack for the Artistic Council which met in Katowice on April 8 to select bands that will play the Big and the Small Stage of this year's Rawa Blues festival.

The following band will form the line-up for the Big Stage of the Katowice “Spodek” Hall: Grzegorz Kapołka Trio, Sobo Blues Band (Israel), Wes Gałczyński & Power Train, Pol Chobot & Adam Baran and Two Timer are invited to perform at the Big Stage of the Katowice "Spodka".
The following bands are invited to the Small Stage: Forsal, Rockomotive, Blues Band, HoldBlues, Blackberry Brothers, Adam Bartoś and Hubert Szczęsny. The artists who play on the Small Stage have a chance to "jump" to the Big Stage of the "Spodek" Hall.
This year's edition of the Rawa Blues Festival will be a three day event. September 28th is a treat for admirers of guitar sounds - Sonny Landreth, master of the slide technique, will run a guitar workshop.
For those who cannot make it on Thursday the workshop will be repeated the next day after the concert of Eden Brent and Irene Dudek Big Band in the NOSPR Hall.
On Saturday, 30th September the blues will resound in "Spodek" thanks to the shows of Kris Barras Band, Tim Woodson & Heir Harmony, Sonny Landreth and Marcus King Band.
