Katowice, as the capital city of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Upper Silesia agglomeration, has very well communication established with both other Polish regions and European countries. Spodek Hall is located in the downtown of Katowice - the address is 35 Korfanty Alley.
In general we recommend driving to Katowice using highway connections: A4 and A1.
In Katowice, to all travelers from north we recommend driving by country route 1 (with its parts of highway A1) and country route 86 (with its express parts of S86), putting an attention to exit on Katowice Centre, in order to avoid a tunnel under Zietek Roundabout. In case of missing that exit, you just need to exit with turnover to the Center (Chorzowska Street).
From Warsaw – we recommend Blues Bus or trains. Travel by train will be pretty cheap (in case of TLK lines) and the quickest one. Details on Blues Bus initiative will be available on our website soon.
From Cracow – due to unacceptably long train travels from Cracow we recommend bus lines that travel thru A4 highway. You can search connections using Cracow Regional Bus Station website.
You can arrive to Katowice from most of Polish main cites. We recommend using trains search site.
Main train station is located from Spodek Hall by 15 minutes walk. Even though the main train station is during huge renovation, it is pretty well marked for the both domestic and foreign travelers.
From Katowice Airport Pyrzowice there is an Aiport Bus coming every hour, stopping next to Spodek Hall at Korfanty Alleys.
In case of any questions we highly encourage you contact us. We can always give an advise how to reach Katowice, find a good hotel nearby etc., so that you can focus on how to enjoy the best blues music during Rawa Blues Festival.
