Rick Estrin & The Nightcats

The leader of this group  is an excellent harmonica player, vocalist and composer Rick Estrin, a musician with a rich artistic career, started in the 80s of the last century.

In his harmonica play, he often refers to Sonny Boy Williamson II and Little Walter, and as a talented and original composer adds a new quality to the music of the legendary bluesmen. Rick Estrin won Blues Music Awards, as the Best Harmonica Player and The Best Traditional Blues Artist. His songs were also awarded.

He was the member of the combos that could be found in the catalogue of Alligator Records, The Nightacts – with the skilled guitarist Little Charlie Baty - was one of them. The group blended Chicago and Californian blues in a perfect way.

Since Little Charlie retirement in 2008, Estrin became the spiritus movens of The Nightcats.
They have been touring successfully around the world and released well-received albums, such as: Twisted (2009), One Wrong Turn (2012), Asked For It… Live (2014) i Groovin’ In Greaseland (2017).
