What is cultural blend on this year Rawa Blues Festival edition? It's our new experiment that came out of our heads. It's cross-disciplinary, because it connects music, plastics, literature. Together we will find out the effects coming from this blend! Let's see what are ingredients:

Come Paint Me the Blues!

In the September a happening will be performed, where everyone will be able to put his reminescene on a big canvas. In the Katowice city center there will be created a big picture, which will be used on October 6th as a background of the Small Scene of Rawa Blues Festival.

Academy of Fine Arts students vs. Blues

In the Spodek Hall from 11 AM there will be paintings made by young artist - students of Katowice Academy of Fine Arts. It's worth stopping to see how the attempts of mastering the music by the materia!

Poetic Cafe

Everyone's invited to listen the magic words. Organized together with Mikolow Instutute of Rafal Wojaczek, the poetic cafe is aimed to remark the importance and power of lyrics, so often trivialized and ignored by performers. Both musician and poet are the artists, both create and take responsibility for his creation.

Invitation for a Film

Another great offer for the blues fans will be found at Movie Art Center in Katowice (formerly Kosmos cinema), where blues movies show nightly will take place, just after the Festival. We will see impressive document The Land Where the Blues Began, coming from US Congress library, the film created in association with the great blues expert - Alan Lomax. Some time later documental movies of Adam Sikora (several awards on international and Polish movie festivals) will be projected. In the smaller hall of the cinema there will be chosen performanes from previous Rawa Blues Festiwal editions projected.
